CABARET (2005)

"What good is sitting alone in your room?

Come hear the music play..."

Berlin, New Year's Eve, 1929.  The Second World War is looming on the horizon - but that's all out there.  In the Kit Kat Klub, life is beautiful.  The girls are beautiful - even the orchestra is beautiful.  Which is exactly what Cliff Bradshaw, hopeful American Novelist discovers as he travels to Germany for inspiration.  And enters the frantic world of the cabaret.

And of one Sally Bowles.

But the Third Reich is rising, and soon even those hiding in the debauchery of the Kit Kat Klub find that while life in here is beautiful, out there it's a whole other matter...
