LADY OF THE ENGLISH / SPLIT ENDS (2009)

Two one act plays, with a minimal cast, minimal set and a lot of fun!

"Lady Of The English"

by Aron Toman

Oxford, England, 1142.  Empress Matilda, self-proclaimed 'Lady of the English' is on the run as the army of her usurper cousin, King Stephen closes in on her.  Now under siege at Oxford Castle, the Empress is surprised to be visited by a girl claiming to be from the future.  A future, to Matilda's complete disbelief, that doesn't remember her reign over England at all...

"Split Ends"

by Frank Vickery

Nancy and Cyril are about to meet their son Norman's new girlfriend Susan for the first time. Susan, however whilst slim as a rake has a stomach capacity of a large dustbin and starts to eat them out of house and home. But that's not the only problem for Norman’s father- Cyril. He goes into hiding when his wig goes missing. Add to this a lost contact lens, a litter of kittens and you have this recipe for chaos..
